Charles Bierbrier: a new generation of brewing
Some might say that Charles Bierbrier was destined to brew beer. His last name, Bierbrier, derives from the German word meaning "beer brewer." This is what the family did generations ago in Europe.

Although Charles enjoyed homebrewing and had a passion for beer, he decided to study Economics at McGill University and pursued a career in the world of finance & investments. After a few years he went on to obtain a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
Bierbrier had a dream and a passion for beer. So while he worked in the finance industry he also managed to attend beer conferences, tradeshows and even enrolled in advanced brewing courses at the Maska Laboratories to perfect the art of brewing. "It reached a point where I would go to sleep and the idea of opening a brewery would keep me awake at nights." With this in mind, he decided to leave the corporate world behind and pursue his dream: to build a brewery and succeed at it.
The Bierbrier tradition continues at the Guy street brewery in downtown Montreal.
Today, Charles Bierbrier and his passionate & dynamic team continue the story of Bierbrier...
